Terms & Conditions

Orders placed via our website will be accepted by us, THE VIBE, and a contract will be formed between you (the customer) and THE VIBE, only at the point of shipping the goods.  We will dispatch any items readily available from stock and forward any outstanding items as soon as they become available, at no extra cost (only applicable to UK customers).  If this is not possible, we will inform you as soon as we can.

We try to keep most items available from stock but in the event that an item is unavailable or on back order, we will inform you as soon as possible. Certain items have to be imported from overseas and can take some time. If we are unable to provide your item/s within your required timeframe, you reserve the right to cancel the order and a full refund will be made.  Our website does not show a live stock status.

All prices on the website are in GB Pounds and include VAT (20%) on applicable goods. Music and books are exempt from VAT.

All payments are charged in GB Pounds.  For overseas transactions involving different currencies, the exchange rate will be handled by your (card issuing) bank using the exchange rate at the time the order was placed.

THE VIBE constantly maintains this website, keeping it up-to-date and free from errors. Occasionally however, errors in product information and pricing may occur.  If an order is placed, via our website, for an item with an erroneous price, the order will not be accepted until contact has been made with you to notify of the error/s. In this event you will have the option to cancel the order in its entirety, but if a positive agreement has been made, the order will be updated and then accepted by us. Should we be unable to make contact with you, the order will be treated as cancelled.  Likewise, during a sale or discounted price promotion period, where limited stock of the item is available at the advertised price, should the number of goods ordered outnumber the quantity available at the discounted price, you will be notified of the number of items available at the discounted purchase price. You will then have the option of purchasing the number of items available at the discounted price and placing a further order for the remainder of the goods at the correct price, or cancelling the order in its entirety. Following this process, you will receive a full refund for any cancelled items from your original order.

How do I know if my payment has gone through when purchasing online?

When you pay for your online order you will be sent to either a successful payment page, which will notify you that your payment has gone through, or a failed payment page advising you of the step you will need to take and/or the reason why your payment failed. You may also receive a confirmation email from the Sage Pay system which confirms the status of your transaction or this may come from the website directly.

If you are in doubt about the status of your order or have any questions about your payment, please contact the company you ordered from with all the relevant details and they will be able to advise you of your order status.

How do I know my details are secure when shopping online?

Sage Pay is audited by an independent auditor on a regular basis to ensure that we comply with the latest security standards set out by Visa and MasterCard. If you have processed your order online using the payment pages hosted by Sage Pay, please locate and click on the padlock image which can be found on our payment pages to confirm that your details are collected in a secure environment.

The padlock is located in a different area of the payment page screen depending on the internet browser you are using – it can normally be found in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, at the top of the screen next to (or inside) the address bar or at the very top right hand corner of the screen. This padlock shows that your details are collected using 128 bit SSL technology.

Once you have entered your card details, Sage Pay will securely send these details to the bank to be authorised. This is a completely secure process and we ensure that your details cannot be accessed by a third party. I have placed an order and my payment went through Sage Pay but I have not received any goods/services?

Sage Pay is an online Payment Service Provider allowing our vendors to accept card payments through their website.  We process payments on behalf of our customers and make sure that your transaction details are kept secure throughout the transaction process.

As the website’s payment provider, we do not have any access to any order or delivery details and are unable to process any refunds or cancel any orders on behalf of the merchants who use our service.

If you have a query regarding your order, we would recommend that you first contact the company you ordered from.

You should find the company’s contact details on the company’s website, the customer receipt, or on the Sage Pay transaction confirmation email if one has been sent.

Risk / Title

The goods are at the risk of the buyer from the time of delivery.  Ownership and title of the goods shall not pass to the buyer until the company has received payment in full.

Delivery Address

THE VIBE operates in strict compliance with UK anti-fraud and card protection legislation and guidelines. When paying by credit or debit card, we will only deliver to an address already registered with your card issuer, usually the card statement address

All transaction information you enter is sent via our secure server to your own card issuer for authorisation and authentication.  If the details do not match EXACTLY, they will advise us to cancel the order.

We want all our customers to be completely happy with all purchases from us. We provide a 14 day period in which to return any items for exchange or refund if they are deemed unsuitable.* This is subject to the item/s being returned in the same condition they were sent out in, and the item/s being complete with all packaging and component parts.

*We are not able to accept returns for instruments supplied outside the European Union.  This is because we would be charged import duty and VAT on re-entry into the UK which we would not be able to reclaim.  Orders accepted outside the EU are on an irrevocable order basis only.

Faulty Items

All instruments are set-up, adjusted and checked in our workshop before dispatch, packed carefully and should reach you in 1st class condition.  In the unlikely event that an instrument should appear damaged on arrival, please inform us on the day of receipt, or within 24 hours at the latest.  Please keep all packing materials as insurers may need to see them. We will replace any damaged sheet music or accessories free of charge, on receipt of the originals.

Please use a secure means of dispatch if returning an item.  We cannot be held responsible for any returned items until they are received and signed-for at our premises. Return postage costs are to be covered by the customer.  In the event of an item being received in faulty or damaged condition, we will refund reasonable return postage costs at our discretion.
